The "all-inclusive" budget: what you really need to plan for
To the price of the structure, add: platform and foundation ($8,000–$20,000 depending on frost and terrain), electricity and heating ($5,000–$15,000), bathroom and plumbing ($12,000–$25,000—the primary factor justifying a higher rate), rental-quality furniture ($8,000–$20,000), and site work: access, septic ($15,000–$50,000+). This is the item most underestimated by new operators.
Why 4-season capability changes everything in Quebec
A 3-season yurt closes from November to April—half of your potential income. A certified 4-season yurt, insulated and designed for our snow loads, turns winter into a profitable season: snowshoeing, snowmobiling, spa under the stars. Our yurts are manufactured in Saint-David-de-Falardeau, in the Saguenay region—one of the most demanding climates in Canada.
Is a yurt profitable?
2026 benchmarks: Mont-Tremblant reports an average rate of $278/night; Charlevoix, $286/night. At $200/night and 50% occupancy, a single yurt generates approximately $36,500 in annual gross revenue. Our clients regularly report a return on investment within two seasons.
